You Cannot Use the Arrow Keys to Select a Font Color (283682)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the arrow keys on your keyboard to select a new font color, the font color does not change. This problem does not occur when you use the mouse to select a new font color.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the button for the font color incorrectly appears selected before you select the font color when you use the arrow keys on your keyboard.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, press the SPACEBAR key to select the font color that you want.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
