SYMPTOMS

When you change desktop themes on a Windows XP-based computer, the screen saver may change from the theme you had set previously.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because some themes that are included in Windows XP have a specific screen saver that is associated with the theme, and it changes with other theme-specific settings.

This behavior is by design.
