SYMPTOMS

On a computer that is running Microsoft Windows 2000, when you use the Microsoft generic implementation of Opengl (non-accelerated), with a single- or double-buffered pixel format, an Access Violation (AV) may occur in Opengl32.dll when clipping planes cross window boundaries.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
