SUMMARY

The Usage Analysis (UA) section of the Site Server Usage Import documentation contains incorrect information concerning the Excludes tab of Site Properties.

To reach the Excludes tab, to into Usage Import and open Server Manager. Click (if necessary) to expand Log Data Source, and then click to expand Server. Right-click Site, and select Properties.

The documentation states:

In the File types to exclude box, type the file extensions you want to exclude from being imported. Use quotation marks around each file name or file type. Separate multiple file names or file types with a space. For example, "*.gif" "*.jpeg" "*.jpg".

The documentation is in error. You should not use quotation marks around file types or file names. You should, however, separate these values with a space. This applies to the Hosts to exclude box as well.
