Outlook stops responding when you import more than 255 attendees from a .SC2 file (281459)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Outlook 2000, Service Release 1 (SR-1)
This article was previously published under Q281459 SYMPTOMS When you try to import appointments with a very large list
of attendees from a .SC2 file in Outlook 2000, one of the following two
situations may occur:
- Outlook stops responding with an access violation in memory
management when it imports an offending appointment.
- The import filter of Outlook 2000 imports Calendar data
when an offending appointment is encountered.
In both cases parts of the .SC2 file remain unconsidered by the
migration process and are missing from the Calendar folder afterwards.
CAUSE This behavior can occur because there is a limit to the
number of attendees that you can have per appointment. You can have a maximum
of 255 attendees per appointment during an import of .SC2 files. RESOLUTION
