OL2002: The 'Find' Dialog Box Disappears After the First Match When Your Message Format is Outlook Rich Text or Plain Text (281033)

If you click Find on the Edit menu, type a search criteria, and then click Find Next in a new message that is in either Microsoft Outlook Rich Text format or plain text format in Outlook 2002, the Find dialog box disappears.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use Microsoft Word as your e-mail editor, or use Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) as your message format.
To set Word as your e-mail editor, on the Tools menu, click Options, and under the Mail Format tab, click to select the Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages check box.
To set Outlook 2002 to use HTML as the message format, on the Tools menu, click Options, and under the Mail Format tab, click HTML in the Compose in this message format box.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
