Visio2000: Computer May Pause or Stop Responding Trying to Access a Swapped Floppy Drive (279518)

SYMPTOMS

On laptops that have swappable floppy and CD-ROM drives, Visio may search for and attempt to access the floppy drive when the drive is not present. The system may pause or stop responding (may hang) during this process.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, you can create a new hardware profile with the floppy drive set to disabled.
