Memory Leak in Atmuni.sys in Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, and Windows Me (278368)

SYMPTOMS

The Atmuni.sys file may leak memory if a Network Driver Interface Specification (NDIS) miniport driver disables Interim Local Management Interface (ILMI).

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
