OL2002: Error Message: The Profile Name Contains Characters That Are Not Valid (278151)

When you start Outlook 2002, you may receive the following error message:
The profile name contains characters that are not valid. Type a valid profile name.
You may also see the Mapisp32.exe file remain loaded in memory.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur when you run Microsoft Exchange Client 4.0, 5.0, or 5.5 on the same computer as Outlook 2002.
MORE INFORMATION
Microsoft does not recommend nor does it support running previous versions of the Exchange Clients or Microsoft Outlook on a computer where you have installed Microsoft Outlook 2002.
