25 MB of Free Hard Disk Space Is Required on the System Drive for Installation (277972)

BizTalk Server 2000 requires a minimum of 25 MB of free disk space on the system drive to install correctly. Insufficient disk space on the system drive may result in a runtime error during the BizTalk Server Setup file copy process.

You can install BizTalk Server 2000 to a local hard drive, other than the default system drive. When you install BizTalk Server 2000 to a drive other than the system drive, the system drive must still have the minimum amount of free disk space in order for the installation to complete successfully. As a general guideline, Microsoft recommends that you have at least 25 MB of free disk space on the system drive.

If you start the BizTalk Server 2000 Setup program on a server where there is insufficient free disk space on the system drive, you may receive the following runtime error during the file copy process:

Run-time error '-2147024784 (80070070)';
Method '~' of object '~' failed

If you receive this error during the installation process, cancel the installation process, free additional disk space, and then restart the installation process.
