PRB: Error 0xC0C0129C: "This Object Cannot Be Saved or Removed" (276926)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to create or edit items in the BizTalk Messaging Manager, you may receive the following error message:

BizTalk Messaging Manager Error
The organization could not be saved.
Error 0xC0C0129C: This object cannot be saved or removed because the timestamp has changed.

This error may occur with any object that is accessible through the BizTalk Messaging Manager. For example:

Organizations
Ports
Channels
Document Definitions
Envelopes
Distribution Lists (Port Groups)

CAUSE

This error occurs because more than one user is accessing the SQL Server database where your BizTalk Messaging objects reside. The object that you are editing has been modified since you started the wizard.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, click OK in the error message, and edit the object again.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000.

The BizTalk Messaging Manager uses the BizTalk Object Model Software Development Kit (SDK) to access the messaging objects. The error is returned from the BizTalk Object Model SDK to the user interface.
