SYMPTOMS

The animated globe in the upper-right corner of the Internet Explorer window stops revolving as soon as any one of the frames on the page finishes loading. This is most obvious on a page with two unbalanced frames (one frame loads quickly and the other takes a long time).

WORKAROUND

This is a timing issue. The Web page developer can resolve this issue by slightly delaying the faster frame by putting a loop in the frame so that the two frames take roughly the same amount of time to finish loading.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
