PRB: PVBLoad.Exe May Cause an Access Violation When You Debug an Application with eMbedded Visual Basic (276070)

SYMPTOMS

When you debug an application with eMbedded Visual Basic (eVB) 3.0, you may get an access violation in the PVBLoad.exe file.

CAUSE

This problem seems to occur if there are large numbers of Controls on the form or forms that you use.

RESOLUTION

You may be able to resolve the problem if you delete all pvb*.* files on the device and let Visual Basic reload them once it finds what is missing.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
