WD2002: Default Style of TIME Field Is Not Changed When Default Style of System Time Is Changed (275950)

SYMPTOMS

When you insert a field to display the system time in a Microsoft Word document, the time style that appears in your document is not the same as the time style that you selected in the Regional Options setting under Control Panel.

Your document should display the default time style as selected in the Regional Options setting unless you specify a different time style in the inserted field.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, edit the properties of the inserted field. To do so, follow these steps:
  1. Right-click the inserted field.
  2. On the shortcut menu, click Edit Field.
  3. In the Field properties list, select the time format that you want, and then click OK.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
