The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000

This article was previously published under Q275837

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Index functoid in the BizTalk Mapper, the resulting XML output may be missing data or may reflect data that is not correctly generated.

CAUSE

If the index parameter used for the BizTalk Mapper Index functoid is defined as <null> or whitespace, the functoid generates incorrect output from the input data that is passed to it, and may ignore input data or overwrite existing output data.

RESOLUTION

Do not use <null> or whitespace for the index parameter when you use the BizTalk Mapper Index functoid.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft BizTalk Server 1.0.
