Saving a Document Specification to a Remote WebDAV Repository Fails (275817)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to save a document specification to a WebDAV repository on a remote computer, you may receive the following error message:
Unspecified Error.

CAUSE

The user account that attempts to save the document specification on the Web server does not have write privileges on the Microsoft Windows 2000 folder that hosts the repository.

RESOLUTION

To grant the user access to the WebDAV repository, perform the following steps:
  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Windows Explorer.
  2. Browse to Microsoft BizTalk Server.
  3. Expand the Microsoft BizTalk Server directory, right-click BizTalkServerRepository, and then click Properties.
  4. On the Security tab, click Add, and then type the domain name and the user name as follows: <domain name>\<user name>.
  5. Click OK twice.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2000.
