SYMPTOMS

After you resume your Hewlett-Packard (HP) Pavilion computer from Standby mode by pressing any of the following keys, you may experience odd behavior when you click one or more icons:
  • PRINT SCRN
  • SCROLL LOCK
  • INSERT
  • HOME
  • PAGE UP
  • PAGE DOWN
  • DELETE
  • UP ARROW, DOWN ARROW, RIGHT ARROW, LEFT ARROW
  • PAUSE
  • BREAK
Specifically, if you click an icon on the desktop and then click another icon, both icons may become selected. If you continue to click icons, each icon may be selected, but the first icons you clicked remain selected. If you then try to start a program by double-clicking its icon, all of the selected icons are activated, and multiple programs may start.
