XL97: Excel Quits Unexpectedly When You Open Workbook That Contains DDE Link in TRANSPOSE Function (275534)

When you open workbooks in which the TRANSPOSE function contains external Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) links as arguments, Microsoft Excel quits unexpectedly.
CAUSE
This problem occurs only while the Visual Basic for Applications Editor (VBE) is open.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, close the Visual Basic for Applications editor before you open the file.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
