When you open an AppleWorks word processing document in Microsoft Word 2001 for Mac, the graphic that was in the header is now in the body of the document.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the Word 2001 file converter moves the graphics in the header of AppleWorks documents into the body of the document when a document is converted from AppleWorks 5 format to Word 2001.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior and move the graphic back into the header, follow these steps:
- In Word 2001, on the View menu, click Page Layout.
- Select the graphic that you want to move to the header.
- On the Edit menu, click Cut.
- On the View menu, click Header and Footer.
- On the Edit menu, click Paste.
- Drag the graphic into the header.
- On the View menu, click Header and Footer.
