WD2001: Revision Marks in Tables Are Not Reviewed on the First Pass Through the Document (275379)

SYMPTOMS

When you review the revision marks in a Microsoft Word 98 for the Macintosh document or a Microsoft Word 2001 for Mac document that contains a table, and you either accept or reject the changes, not all of the revisions in the table are reviewed on the first pass. You may need to check the document from the beginning more than once to accept or reject all of the revisions in the table.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

For more information about accepting and rejecting changes, follow these steps:
  1. On the Help menu, click Contents and Index. If you are using a version of the Macintosh operating system that is earlier than 8.0, click Contents and Index on the Balloon Help menu.
  2. In Word 98 Help, click Index, and then type the following text:

    tracking changes,overview

  3. Click Show Topics. Click the tracking changes, overview topic, and then click Go To.

For more information about accepting and rejecting changes in Word 2001 for Mac, follow these steps:
  1. On the Help menu, click Contents and Index, click Index, and then click T.
  2. Scroll down until you locate trace, and then click the arrow to the left to view a list of topics under the general topic.
  3. Click About adding comments and keeping track of changes.
