SYMPTOMS

When you try to run a dynamic report in Commerce Server, you may experience memory errors or blank dynamic reports.

CAUSE

When you run a SQL Server-based dynamic report, the PivotControl tries to load all data into memory before displaying the report. This could cause system resources to become depleted, especially memory. This depletion can result in system errors or the report not being displayed.

WORKAROUND

Verify that you run Commerce Server dynamic reports on a system that does not have limited system resources, particularly memory. Also, avoid running reports on computers that are running other memory-intensive programs (such as a mail server or a database server).
