WD2002: Default Date Format Is Not Selected When You Switch Languages (273985)

SYMPTOMS
When you set a default date or time format, and then you change languages, the default date or time that you set is not selected when you again choose Date and Time on the Insert menu.
NOTE: To set a default date or time format, click Date and Time on the Insert menu, and then click Default. To change languages, point to Language on the Tools menu, and then click Set Language.
CAUSE
When you select and set a default date format by clicking Default (on the Insert menu, click Date and Time), the date or time format is set for input methods such as inserting a date or time by using other Word features in your default language.
For example, when you insert a DATE field (on the Insert menu, click Field, or press ALT+SHIFT+D), the default format for the DATE field uses the default that you set in the Date and Time dialog box.
NOTE: Setting the default does not cause that setting to be selected if you again display the Date and Time dialog box.
