Site Server Report Writer Reports Outdated or Incorrect Results (272979)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Site Server 3.0
This article was previously published under Q272979 SYMPTOMS
Some of the reports that are generated by Site Server Report Writer may show results that are outdated or incorrect.
CAUSE
By default, Report Writer caches calculation results to enhance performance. When a report uses the same calculation, Report Writer uses the cached results of the previously run report.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, change the default settings for the calculation cache as follows:
- From the Analysis program group, open Site Server 3.0 Report Writer.
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- On the Calculation Cache tab, perform the following steps:
- Select Don't cache calculations.
- Click Clear Cache Now to remove all of the cache files from the specified cache folder.
- Click Save as Default Settings.
- Click OK to save the settings.
- Run a new report.
MORE INFORMATION
Calculation results are stored in a cache calculation file (in a folder that you can specify). If you import a log file that contains data that conflicts with the data in the cache calculation file, the cache calculation file is cleared. Refer to the Site Server documentation for additional information.
