CAUSE

  • You select one of the following data types:
    • Whole number
    • Decimal
    • List
    • Date
    • Time
    • Text length

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, follow these steps:
  1. Click any cell in a list column that is accepting data outside the existing validation criteria.
  2. On the List toolbar, click Column Settings, and then click Validation.
  3. Click the Error Alert tab, and then click to select Show error alert after invalid data is entered. Click OK twice to accept the settings.
