IntelliPoint Mac: Mouse Preferences for Multiple User Accounts Are Lost After You Restart the Computer (272604)

When you restart a Macintosh computer that is configured to use multiple user accounts, the customized IntelliPoint preferences for the Owner account are preserved, but the customized IntelliPoint preferences for all other user accounts may be lost.
In addition, when you log on to the computer after you restart it and then click a customized button on the mouse, you may receive the following error message:
IntelliPoint: The requested item could not be opened.
NOTE: The settings for the following IntelliPoint features are preserved for each user account, even when the computer is shut down or restarted:
RESOLUTION
There is no resolution to this issue at this time.
To prevent this issue from occurring, do not shut down or restart the computer.
If you lose your personalized IntelliPoint preferences, open the IntelliPoint control panel, and then select the IntelliPoint preferences that you want to use.

When several users on the same computer use the IntelliPoint software to customize their mouse preferences, their customized mouse preferences are preserved until the computer is shut down or restarted.
As long as the computer is not shut down or restarted, the customized mouse preferences are loaded automatically when a user logs on to the computer.
