This article was previously published under Q272104 SYMPTOMS When you use a Microtek ScanMaker X6 scanner that is
connected to an enhanced parallel port on the computer with one of the programs
that are listed at the beginning of this article, the scanner software may not
function properly.
The Scan command in the program may be unavailable or the scanner may not
function properly. CAUSE This behavior can occur if the computer is running the
Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition operating system.
The TWAIN
software drivers that are used by the Microtek ScanMaker X6 scanner are not
fully compatible with Windows Millennium Edition. RESOLUTION To resolve this issue, contact the scanner manufacturer to
inquire about how to obtain and install updated drivers for this scanner that
