GP Fault Error Message in the Mcicda.drv File When You Start Windows Media Player 7 or 7.1 (272083)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to start Windows Media Player 7 or 7.1, you may receive a general protection (GP) fault error message in the Mcicda.drv file.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if the IMSI CD Copier Pro or CD Copier Gamers Edition program is installed on your computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact IMSI to inquire about the availability of a fix for this issue.

To work around this issue, uninstall the IMSI CD Copier program, or remove any virtual CD-ROMs that are using drive L. Note that removing virtual CD-ROMs that are using drive L may not resolve this issue.
