FP2000: Modifying Saved Fields Does Not Update Text File Headers (271130)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft FrontPage 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1)
This article was previously published under Q271130 SYMPTOMS
When you use the FrontPage Save Results component to save to comma-separated, space-separated, or tab-separated text files, and you add a field that was not originally on the form, the new field is saved. However, the new field name is not added to the column headers at the beginning of the file.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, use another file format, such as formatted text within HTML, HTML bulleted, HTML definition list, or formatted text.
Another workaround is to remove the results file that FrontPage saves to (which is usually stored in the _private folder). The next time the form is submitted, FrontPage creates a new file with the appropriate headers.
