WD2001: Paste Operations Fail with Large Amounts of Data on the Clipboard (269903)

When you attempt to paste a selection of text that is more than 2.5 megabytes (MB) in size from the Microsoft Office Clipboard into a Microsoft Word document, nothing appears to happen. The paste operation is unsuccessful, and no error message appears. This behavior occurs when you use either the Paste Selected tool or the Paste All tool on the Office Clipboard.
WORKAROUND
To paste a quantity of text that exceeds 2.5 MB, copy and paste smaller portions of the text (less than 2.5 MB) in as many separate operations as required.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
