SYMPTOMS

After you apply Service Release 1 (SR-1) to Outlook running on a Terminal Server computer, Outlook may stop responding or the user may receive the following error message when they attempt to open, insert, or save attachments:
Can't create file: Filename. Right click the folder you want to create the file in, and then click Properties in the shortcut menu to check your permissions for the folder.

RESOLUTION

WARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
To resolve this problem, log on as the user that is experiencing the problem and modify the following registry key so that it points to the user's home folder instead of the C:\MyFolder\Temp folder:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Terminal Server\Install\Software\MICROSOFT\Office\9.0\Outlook\SECURITY\OutlookSecureTempFolder
