How to Change the Outlook Email Stationary

NOTE: The following steps only apply if you have set your default mail format for Outlook 2000 to Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). To determine your mail format, click Options on the Tools menu, and then click the Mail Format tab.
  1. Start Outlook.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. On the Mail Format tab, click a new stationary type in the Use this Stationary by Default box.
  4. Click Apply, and then click OK.

How to Test Outlook In Safe Mode

  1. Place a blank disk in your disk drive, and then restart your computer.
  2. Remove the disk, and then press the F8 key three times quickly when you receive the prompt Non-System disk error. Replace and Strike and key when ready.
  3. Click Safe Mode, or click Option 3 on the Windows Startup menu, and then press the ENTER key.
  4. Click OK when you receive the following prompt:

    Windows is running in safe mode. This special diagnostic mode of Windows Enables you to fix the problem that is keeping you from starting Windows normally. The problem could be caused by your network or hardware settings. Make sure these settings are correct in Control Panel, and then try starting Windows again. For More information, see the Troubleshooting section in Help. While in safe mode some of your devices may not be available.

  5. Start Outlook to see if you receive the error message that is described in the "Symptoms" section of this article.
  6. If the error message does not occur, restart your computer, and then continue to the "How to Disable Video Hardware Acceleration" section of this article.

How to Disable Video Hardware Acceleration

  1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
  2. On the Performance tab, click the Graphics button.
  3. Move the slider from Full to None, and then click OK.
  4. Click OK on the System Properties dialog box. Click OK if you receive a prompt to restart your computer.
  5. Start Outlook to see if you receive the error message that is described in the "Symptoms" section of this article.

How to Repair Microsoft Office 2000

  1. Close all applications, and disable any anti-virus programs.
  2. Place the Office 2000 CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive.
  3. On the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  4. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
  5. Click Microsoft Office 2000 Professional, and then click Add/Remove.
  6. Click Repair Office, click Repair Errors in Office Installation, and then click Finish. After the repair is complete, restart your computer.
  7. Start Outlook to see if you receive the error message that is described in the "Symptoms" section of this article.
