SYMPTOMS

When you are running Microsoft Visual FoxPro on Terminal Services, you cannot start two Database Wizards simultaneously. When you attempt to do so, you receive the following error message:
Error #1705 in tablerefresh (0): File access is denied.
Multiple error messages appear after the first one.

CAUSE

The Visual FoxPro Wizards were not originally written to support multiple users. Because of this original design plan, tables used by the Wizards are usually opened exclusively.

NOTE: Certain Wizards run fine under Terminal Services if all tables used are opened shared.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
