Error Message "The Directory Operation Is Still in Progress" in Printer Sharing Dialog Box (268545)

Microsoft Windows 2000 Active Directory domain, the Sharing tab of the Printer Properties dialog box displays the following error message below the
List in the Directory check box:
The Directory operation is still in progress. CAUSE The Domain Name System (DNS) server address in the TCP/IP
settings of the computer is not set correctly or the DNS server is not set up
correctly.
RESOLUTION You must correct the DNS setting so that it points to a DNS
server that contains a copy of the DNS zone for the Active Directory

MORE INFORMATION Active directory is unable to resolve the location of the
Active Directory resources from the DNS server and is continuing to attempt to
contact a Domain Controller to publish the printer.
