External PS/2 Mouse Stops Working After You Hot Undock Toshiba Portege 7140 Laptop Computer (267444)

When you hot undock a Toshiba Portege 7140 portable computer from a Toshiba 10/100 LAN docking station, and you are using an external PS/2 mouse while running Windows Millennium Edition (Me) or Windows 98 Second Edition (SE), the mouse may stop working.
WORKAROUND
To regain use of the external PS/2 mouse, reboot the computer while it is not connected to the docking station.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
