HP Color LaserJet 5/5M is Not Detected by Millennium Plug and Play (267328)

When you attempt to install the Hewlett-Packard (HP) Color LaserJet 5/5M printer on a Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me)-based computer, the printer is detected by Plug and Play, but the printer drivers are not automatically installed as expected.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, manually install the printer drivers by using the Add Printer Wizard. To do so, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Printers.Double-click Add Printer.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
