When you view a high-color image in the image preview window of Windows Explorer, the green colors may appear gray.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur when the video display on the computer has only 1 megabyte (MB) of VRAM, limiting the maximum color depth to 256; the resolution is limited to 1024 x 768. Therefore, the correct palette is not selected and the image is dithered in a lesser palette.
