SYMPTOMS

You may receive the following error message on a Compaq Deskpro 6000 computer that is running Windows 2000 Professional when you install the Novell client version 4.7:
STOP 07F UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP
The first value in the error message is x08 (double fault).

RESOLUTION

Remove the older version of the Novell client for Windows 2000 and install the Novell client version 4.71 (or later) for Windows 2000.
