QoS Program Causes 100 Percent CPU Usage (263207)

SYMPTOMS

A program that uses Quality of Service (QoS) sockets may consume 100 percent of the CPU resources for a period of time.

CAUSE

This problem is caused by a race condition in Rsvpsp.dll.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
