Taskbar Size Not Reinstated After Turning Off High Contrast Feature (262766)

After you turn off the High Contrast display feature, the taskbar is not returned to the previous height.
CAUSE
The taskbar is resized to accommodate the larger High Contrast fonts, but is not resized when these fonts are no longer being used.
WORKAROUND
To resize the taskbar for the smaller fonts:
- Position the mouse pointer at the top edge of the taskbar so that it is displayed as a two-headed arrow.
- Drag the top edge of the taskbar lower to resize it.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
