Setup Error When Installing the Panda Antivirus Platinum Program in Windows Millennium (262733)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to install Panda Antivirus Platinum 6.0 on Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Windows Me), you may receive the following error message during setup:

The Panda Antivirus Platinum 6.0 for Windows 95/98 version cannot be run under Windows NT.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because versions of the Panda Antivirus Platinum program earlier than 6.20 were not designed to run on Windows Me.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, visit the Panda Software Web site to obtain their latest Panda Antivirus update: www.pandasoftware.com

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, browse the Win32 directory on the Antivirus CD-Rom and start setup.
