XADM: Using the Message Tracking Center to Track a Message (262162)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server
- Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5
This article was previously published under Q262162 SUMMARY
After enabling message tracking on a particular server, you may have the need to track a message. Before you view the tracking history of a system message, public folder, or e-mail message, you must specify the message that you want to track. If you are tracking a system message or if you want to select a message to track directly, use the message ID. If you do not know the message ID, you can find system messages manually by reviewing the tracking logs. You can find messages only if they exist in the message tracking logs that are stored in the following location
where servername is the name of your server.
If you are tracking a public folder or an e-mail message, you can specify certain search parameters to obtain a list of matching messages. From this list, you can select one of the messages to view its history.
