You Receive a Confusing Message When You Open a Password Protected Share (262111)

When you try to connect to a domain resource that is share-level, password protected, you may receive a dialog box with the following message:
Enter Network Password
Incorrect password or unknown username for:
<path and share name>
Connect As:
Password:
Where the <path and share name> are the path and share name to the resource you are trying to open.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, type the password in the Password dialog box, and then press OK.
