Print Preview of Large XML Document May Stop Responding (260271)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to print preview a large Extensible Markup Language (XML) document (approximately 220 or more pages), Print Preview may stop responding (hang).

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, create 2 or more files from your 1 large .xml file, and then preview each of these smaller files. For example, save half of your file as File1.xml, and then save the other half of your file as File2.xml. You can now preview the smaller files before you choose to print the single larger file.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
