SUMMARY

This article describes how to add track lists for audio CD-ROMs in Windows Media Player 7.

MORE INFORMATION

When you insert an audio CD-ROM, Media Player may not initially find the track list for the CD-ROM you are trying to play. To import a track list for a CD-ROM:
  1. Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive and make sure that the drive is active.
  2. On the CD-ROM Audio tab in Media Player, verify that the CD-ROM information is not available.
  3. Click Get Names. When you see the "Ready to search" screen, click Next.
  4. Type the name of the artist for your CD-ROM, and then click Next. NOTE: If the artist track is on a compilation or soundtrack, click to select the Compilation or Soundtrack check box, and then click Next.
  5. The artist you are searching for should be listed in the Choose Artist box. Click the artist name, and then click Next. If the artist is not available, you must create a custom track list for the artist.
  6. In the Choose Album box, click the album you are searching for, and then click Next. If the album title is not available, you must create a custom track list.
  7. When you are prompted to save the track information, click Finish.
