Wang Image Edit Control May Not Work During Copy and Paste Operation (259885)

SYMPTOMS

When you perform a copy and paste operation of an image between two instances of the Wang Image Edit control repeatedly in a program that was developed by using the Wang Image Edit control, the operation may eventually stop working and generate the following error messages:

"Error -2147417848 (80010108) - Method "ClipboardCopy" of object "_DimgEdit" failed."
"Run Time Error 7: Out of Memory. Unable to display a blank image."

CAUSE

This problem can occur because of a memory leak problem associated with the Wang Image Edit control.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
