SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), when you click the Crystal Sound Hardware tab in the Power Options tool in Control Panel, you may receive the following error message:
Rundll32.dll caused an error in Cwbaudio

CAUSE

This error message is caused by the Cwbpcple.dll file. This file is left over after upgrading the Crystal VXD drivers to the Crystal Windows Driver Model (WDM) driver.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, delete the Cwbpcple.dll file.
