SYMPTOMS

When you try to open the "Welcome to Outlook Express 5" e-mail message in Outlook 98 or Outlook 2000, you may receive the following error message:

You receive this error message if you import the e-mail message from Outlook Express into Outlook 98 or Outlook 2000. If you forward the e-mail message to another Outlook 98 or Outlook 2000 user, that user also receives the error message.

CAUSE

The "Welcome to Outlook Express 5" e-mail message is a sample e-mail message that is placed in your Outlook Express Inbox during the installation procedure. The e-mail message contains script that is designed to work only if you view the e-mail message in Outlook Express.
