This article was previously published under Q259780 SYMPTOMSWhen you use the Save My Settings Wizard in Office 2000, you receive the following error message and you cannot save your settings to the Internet: There was a problem saving your Profile to the server. To attempt to save your profile to the server again, click on Next. Note To start the Save My Settings Wizard if you have it installed, click Start, point to All Programs ( Programs), point to Microsoft Office Tools, and then click Save My Settings Wizard. CAUSEThis behavior occurs because the service to store your profile settings on the Internet is no longer available.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, remove the Save My Settings Wizard, and install the Microsoft Office 2000 Profile Wizard. To remove the Save My Settings Wizard, follow these steps: - Quit all Office 2000 applications.
- Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- Click Add or Remove Programs.
- Click Change or Remove Programs.
- In the Currently installed programs list, click Microsoft Office Save My Settings Wizard, and then click Remove.
