Error Code 14014 Generated During Attribute Flow (259601)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Metadirectory Services 2.1
This article was previously published under Q259601 SYMPTOMS
A multi-valued attribute may not be flowing to the metaverse consistently, despite the existence of proper attribute flow rules. On some records, error 14014 may be reported in the Zscript.log file:
Error 14014 (DB5_RC_NO_SUCH_ATTRIBUTE) retrieving attribute value.
The only values that do not flow properly are those that have a case difference between the old and new values. This situation may occur when two different connected directories independently flow the same attribute into the metaverse. In one connected directory, the case is significant, and in the other, the case is insignificant.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the Importt program cannot recognize a change in the case of an attribute.
