257824 OL2000: Differences Between Outlook and Outlook Express

SYMPTOMS

When you open an e-mail message in Outlook Express, it opens in a minimized view.

If you click the Maximize button, the message window resizes to a full-screen view, but Outlook Express does not save the view for subsequent windows.

CAUSE

Outlook Express has a default e-mail message window size that is smaller than full-screen view.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, drag the message window edges until the window is the size that you want, close the message, and then reopen the message. The window now opens in the size that you want.

MORE INFORMATION

When you click the Maximize button, the window is maximized for that instance only; the setting is not saved for subsequent windows that you open.
